NootRX

Lilu plug-in for AMD rDNA 2 dGPUs.

Due to a Lilu bug, NootRX cannot be used in recovery or during upgrades due to a misdetection causing a stall at the last stage. For now, have it enabled only after completing install or update.

GPU compatibility

  • Navi 21 on macOS 11 and newer.
  • Navi 22 and Navi 23 on macOS 12 and newer.
  • Navi 24 support coming soon.

Prerequisites

  • An OpenCore EFI configured according to our guide or the Dortania guide.
  • Remove WhateverGreen.kext or NootedRed.kext.
    • This kext conflicts with them.
  • Do your macOS updates (the minor ones, not necessary to go from e.g. macOS 11 to macOS 12).

Yes, as long as you've done the prerequisites as described here.

I see green and pink artefacts while DRM content is being played in the background by a software DRM browser on Navi 22, how do I fix it?

Cause is not known yet, no fix available.

Some 3D programs or games show a green screen or green artefacts on Navi 22

Cause is not known for this one either, therefore no fix is available. Some issues may be aleviated by downgrading to Monterey.

FairPlay 1.x/4.x content either shows a black screen or crashes on Navi 22

No fix available, as cause is not known for this as well.
